Scope and contact.

This notice describes data handling on startup-costs.com, including its calculators, local exports and contact drafts. It does not cover external agencies, source websites or merchants.

Privacy questions or requests about information you emailed to us: [email protected]. Describe the information and request without sending passwords, identity documents or payment details.

Page delivery and security.

Cloudflare hosts the site. A page request can include your IP address, URL, browser information and technical request headers for delivery and security. Cloudflare may process that information under its own practices. We do not state a retention period for host logs that we cannot verify.

The current site has no customer accounts, advertising tags or optional analytics scripts. Host security and merchant features can use cookies. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.

Calculator inputs and downloads.

Calculations run in your browser. Scenario edits are not sent to a calculation server or automatically saved in an account, browser local storage or server database. Reloading or leaving a page may reset them.

Requested scenario JSON, cash-schedule CSV and correction text downloads are created locally. A downloaded file remains in your chosen download location and can contain your assumptions. You control whether to keep or share it.

Email and correction drafts.

The contact form prepares text in your browser. Copying uses your clipboard; downloading creates a file; opening an email draft passes the draft to your email application. None of these actions alone sends a support request.

If you send an email, your address, message and attachments are processed by the sending and receiving email services and used to respond to the issue or investigate a correction. No fixed deletion period for email has been verified. You may ask us to correct or delete information you sent; applicable obligations and the information needed to document a correction can affect the response.

Shopify offers and external checkout.

Financial-model offers load Shopify commerce functionality and open merchant checkout. Shopify and the merchant process the technical, transaction and payment information needed for that service under their own notices. The site’s calculator inputs are not automatically transferred to checkout.

Changes to this notice.

This notice describes the stated features as of October 2, 2026. A change to tracking, accounts, form submission or stored calculator plans requires a corresponding update. Check this page when using a new feature.
