What a final review means

  1. Prepare the evidence and calculation.

Separate observations, assumptions, derived results and the proposed interpretation.

  2. Examine the conclusion.

The author assesses the reasoning and its limits, then accepts or revises the commentary. Applicable local and financial checks address the article's claims.

  3. Record the senior editor's decision.

The reviewer examines the final article and records the decision for that revision. Each article displays its own final-review status.

  4. Keep the review current.

Changed content or material inputs require assessment of the changed revision. Earlier decisions remain history and do not automatically approve new wording.

One person can perform more than one role, but self-review is not an independent second review. Reviewing an assessment alone does not establish review of the whole article.

How AI contributes

AI assists with organizing source material, analyzing the reference calculations and drafting editorial assessments. Scenario interpretations retain the limitations of their inputs. Authorship and final-review attribution follow the recorded decision for each article.
